Living a Musical Life

Midwest Piano was started to help Hoosiers live a consistently musical life. Using modern pianocraft, we will tune, maintain, repair, and clean your piano so it sounds its best.

Michael Pitts completed Piano Tuning and Repair training from the Piano Technician Academy and has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Evansville.

Michael joined as founding member of the Artisan Mentoring Program. Collaboration with other technicians is key to our continuing education and finding efficient techniques to maintain and repair pianos.

Michael is an active member of the Piano Technicians Guild, as well as the local Indianapolis Chapter of the Piano Technicians Guild. The Guild gives opportunities for learning, conventions, and workshops to gain knowledge and skills.

Midwest Piano supports music in Indiana schools as a Music Education Partner and Sponsor of the Indiana Music Education Association (IMEA). Midwest Piano will be an exhibitor at the IMEA Professional Development Conference again in January 2026 in Ft Wayne, IN.

The online scheduling process was seamless, and their communication was consistently prompt. Michael provided a courtesy call 30 minutes prior to his arrival and was perfectly on time. He was incredibly professional, taking the time to explain his process and thoroughly diagnose the issues before beginning work.
